It was impossible to drown the excitement in the house as he sauntered unto the set, head warmer on, the RuggedyBaba himself! He immediately connected to the crowd. Each time he threw a line, they’d catch it and sing right along. His charismatic style kept people at seat edge for the whole interview.

When talking about believing in and making the best out of oneself, he made a statement that he’d rather work at being a king in his own land than go abroad to be a slave, which was perhaps one of the greatest truisms that had ever been uttered. He also insisted that he prays to God for direction.

It was uplifting to hear his advice to up and coming artistes and on general living. He teased the audience with jokes and acts, the height of which was removing his head warmer on their demand. Screams of “na fine boy oh”, oohing and aahing flew over. It was a truly enjoyable experience.
