Known for his sax magic alighted on the hot seat in what we will call ‘a simple African attire’ made in fine linen of black & white with a courteous gentleman high class shoe in patches of white & black as his ‘love’ sax beautifully hangs on his neck. Soft spoken Mike first gave kudos to the 21 year old abused Oracle for having the guts to face the bull and knock off his horns and also to jazzyb for having the listening hears and persuasive grace to bring her on, he went ahead to do a popular tune ‘Lean on me’ as he says that he dedicates the song to Oracle. Mike told the story from his humble background where he started from just been a local drummer boy to learning and playing other musical instruments and the magic of how a saxophone was put in his care and the miracle of learning to play it without being tutored. Mike as fondly called did different soul filled tunes as the audience roared at him to do Weird Mc’s ‘Ijo Ya’ while she herself was seated in the guest seat. He left the stage after answering mind boggling questions from the youth in the audience on how to advance in their life and chosen careers doing a song titled ‘heal the world’ originally written by late Michael Jackson dedicating it to the war torn areas of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria and to the earthquake victims in Haiti. |
